St. Leonhard in Passeier is the capital of the Passeier Valley and is known as the birthplace of Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer, whose birthplace now houses the MuseumPasseier. The municipality offers cultural highlights such as Jaufenburg Castle, which serves as a branch of the museum, the Pfistradalm, Jaufenburg Castle and the ‘Norggensteig’ themed trail for families. For active visitors, there is an outdoor swimming pool and a climbing hall.

Hikes for every level

In St. Leonhard in Passeier, there are a variety of hikes for every level, from easy walks such as the Andreas Hofer circular trail to more challenging mountain and high-altitude trails. Popular tours include the themed trail through the Passirio Gorge to Moos, a hike to the Pfistradalm or a tour to the Schneeberg.
