Away from mass tourism, a natural gem
Aldein and Radein are two small villages on the Regglberg plateau at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,500 metres. The villages are located directly on the famous Dolomite Road, about 15 kilometres from the Neumarkt motorway exit. Here you will find the Grand Canyon of South Tyrol, the Bletterbach Gorge, with its unique fossils. The Aldein Village Museum displays exhibits on the veneration of saints and pilgrimages.
Jochgrimm skiing and hiking area
Skiing: Jochgrimm attracts visitors with its small but excellent ski area – 7 kilometres of slopes, 4 lifts and a family-friendly atmosphere. The compact resort is sunny and guarantees carefree moments on the slopes.
Cross-country skiing: The Lavazè cross-country skiing centre is only 3 kilometres away – the perfect starting point for long, peaceful skiing through tranquil winter landscapes.
Hiking area: From Jochgrimm, well-marked trails stretch through the Lavatal valley and the picturesque alpine pasture landscape, offering breathtaking views of the Dolomites. The high plateaus offer far-reaching panoramic views; whether in summer or winter – easy to moderately difficult tours are waiting to be discovered, with cosy mountain restaurants to stop off at.
