Bolzano – The heart of South Tyrol
Bolzano, the provincial capital of South Tyrol, is located in the Alps in the heart of the region and is crossed by the rivers Adige, Isarco and Talfer. With around 107,000 inhabitants, the city combines a lively mix of German and Italian culture, which is reflected in its architecture, street names and language.

Among the most famous sights are Walther Square, the Cathedral of the Assumption, the Victory Monument and the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology with Ötzi, the Iceman. Bolzano's climate is considered mild, which means that even autumn remains pleasant and invites visitors to linger.
Bolzano wine country: Lagrein and St. Magdalener – the taste of the region
Economically, Bolzano is an important wine producer, particularly known for the Lagrein and St. Magdalener varieties. In terms of infrastructure, the city is well connected to the network and serves as an ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding area, including the imposing Dolomites.
