The Kurhaus in Meran
Art Nouveau gem in the heart of the spa town
An architectural masterpiece steeped in history
In the heart of Merano, directly on the picturesque Passer Promenade, one of South Tyrol's most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings awaits you: the magnificent Kurhaus Merano. Since 1874, this elegant building has been enchanting visitors from all over the world. Between 1912 and 1914, Viennese architect Friedrich Ohmann transformed the Kurhaus into the Art Nouveau jewel with the striking dome that you can admire today.
Empress Sisi once strolled through these halls, and the Kurhaus still tells the story of the glamorous Belle Époque, when Europe's high society took the waters in Merano.
