Finally out again, finally on holiday!

Rediscover South Tyrol - holidays with a short journey

Everything we love #everythingwelove

Eggental (Deutschnofen)

Picturesque Valley in South Tyrol

Welcome to Eggental

There is hardly a more idyllic Alpine region in the Dolomites than the diverse and colourful area beneath the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains. The four villages of Deutschnofen, Eggen, Obereggen and Petersberg are spread out across the sunny plateau of these two impressive mountains.
Holidaymakers can enjoy almost unlimited hiking opportunities here: from easy to moderately difficult hikes through flowering meadows, fresh forests and green alpine pastures to challenging climbing tours. The season begins in mid-May, just a few months after the snow melts, when enchanting flowers cover the alpine meadows and the glow of the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains becomes a unique feast for the eyes.

Cultural treasures in the Eggental Valley: history, religion and starlight

Experience historical sites in the Eggental valley such as the Steinegg Museum and the Steinegg Castle ruins – gain deep insights into Tyrolean history and everyday rural life. Visit the Maria Weißenstein pilgrimage site, discover the mysterious Mortner Gufl cave dwelling and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the stars at the South Tyrol Planetarium. Take advantage of the Max Valier Observatory in Obergummer for authentic insights into astronomy.
