St. Martin in Passeier is a well-known holiday resort in the Passeier Valley near Merano, famous for the unique hiking area of the Texel Group Nature Park, the historic frescoes by the Passeier painters and very popular with motorcyclists for its winding roads such as the Jaufen Pass.
The village offers numerous activities in both summer and winter, including hikes on the Schildhöfeweg trail, skiing and tobogganing in the nearby Merano 2000 ski area and use of the Hirzer cable car.

In St. Martin in Passeier and the surrounding area, you will find a wide variety of hikes, including the historic hike to the Pfandler Alm (Andreas Hofer's hideout) , the easily accessible Kalmtaler waterfall via the Passerdammweg trail, as well as varied tours such as the Steinhauser Waalweg trail or the Teufelsteinweg trail for families. Experienced hikers can enjoy a stage of the famous Meraner Höhenweg trail, which circles the Texelgruppe Nature Park.
