Lajen is a sunny mountain village in the Eisack Valley, known for its impressive views of the Dolomites and its proximity to the Gröden Valley. It offers a wide range of leisure activities for every season, including hiking and mountain biking tours, cross-country skiing and tobogganing, as well as access to the Dolomiti Superski areas. The region is also associated with the traditional autumn festival Törggele and is considered the possible birthplace of the minstrel Walther von der Vogelweide.
