Welcome to Toblach

Toblach in the Dolomites

Dobbiaco (1,240 m) in Alta Pusteria – at the entrance to the Höhlenstein Valley with a view of the Three Peaks. The ‘Municipality of the Three Peaks’ combines centuries of tourism tradition with modern comforts. Gustav Mahler spent his summer holidays here and wrote in a hut built especially for him; every year in July, a music week commemorates him.

Experience highlights – nature, enjoyment and culture

  • Lake Dobbiaco:
One of the most beautiful Alpine lakes. Boat hire, nature trail – perfect for young and old alike. In winter, a meeting place for curling.
  • Drei Zinnen Toblach show dairy:
Cheese, fresh milk, butter, cream, yoghurt. Visit and tasting included.
  • Three Peaks Nature Park House:
Exciting insights into the Three Peaks and Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature parks; interactive, with hands-on activities. Historical information about wartime events.
  • Dürrensee lake in the Höhlensteintal valley:
Popular summer destination for swimming, with panoramic views of the Three Peaks right next to it.
  • Dobbiaco Wildlife Park:
Visit to the Dobbiaco Wildlife Park in Altschluderbach – approx. 40 minutes' walk from the hamlet of Rienz. 11 hectares, native animals such as deer, lynx, wild boar, snowy owls, ponies, raccoons, goats, donkeys, marmots. Children love it.
