Nature and Tradition United
Hiking paradise at the foot of the Zillertal Alps
Pfalzen (Italian: Falzes) is a charming municipality in the Puster Valley in South Tyrol, located at an altitude of around 1,000 metres. With around 3,200 inhabitants, the village combines alpine charm with a wide range of leisure activities. Pfalzen is particularly well known for the picturesque Issinger Weiher lake, the spectacular Kofler hike – one of the most beautiful hikes in South Tyrol – and the Altrasen ruins, which tower above the valley on a rocky outcrop. The municipality is ideally located between Brunico and Kronplatz, one of South Tyrol's most important ski resorts, and offers access to numerous hiking trails in the Pragser and Zillertal Alps.
