The chapel was consecrated in 1487, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the twelve apostles, superseding the previous dedication to St. Stephen. The church’s outward appearance is plain with simple architecture. The outer walls are modest with a round portal, though the interior the is completely frescoed. Paintings in the chancel were completed in 1440 and the southern and western walls were painted by a group of artists from Swabia in 1487.
