VARIETY AS FAR AS YOUR EYE CAN SEE – FROM MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE TO PERENNIAL ICE
Where southern wine and cultural landscape reaches far into the mountains: this is the location of the villages of Lana - Tscherms - Burgstall and Gargazon with their mild climate and fascinating nature.
In the southern corner of the Meran valley basin, at the edge of the Etsch Valley, at the foot of the Vigil Saddleback, as well as on the low mountain ranges of Völlan and Tisens, this long-narrow village finds its home.
Surrounded by mountain peaks, our region lies in the midst of vineyards and orchards – just at the gates of the world-famous spa town of Meran.
Lana (320 metres above sea level), Völlan (700 metres), Vigil Saddleback (1,800 metres), Tscherms (300 metres), Burgstall (270 metres) and Gargazon (270 metres) are the ideal holiday destination in every season. The special climate, the beautiful scenery, the castles and fortresses, contrasting gastronomy, excellent infrastructure – from farmhouses to luxury hotels – invite you for a relaxing and unforgettable holiday.
Lana and its surroundings, seven kilometres south-west of the spa town of Meran, is a tourist gem.
With Völlan at the low mountain range (700 metres) and the local mountain called the Vigil Saddleback (1,500 – 1,800 metres) our village forms a charming holiday region on three different landscape heights.
