In the year 1610, jurist Friedrich Altstätter had this aristocratic residence built by the master builder Bartolomeo del Galletto. Here he occupied the position of trustee for Kaltern’s and Kurtatsch’s courts of justice. In 1694, the residence fell into the hands of Johann Georg Manincor, who was married to Helene Katharina Altstätter. In 1737 it belonged to the Wolkenstein – the roadside alliance coat of arms originates from this period. Since 1965, Kaltenburg has been in the possession of Ignaz Brigl.
