Helm/Monte Elmo (Sexten-Sesto/Innichen-San Candido)
The ideal resort for families in the high Upper Pustertal valley where snow is a certainty
Helm offers the ultimate in ski excitement for the whole family. The resort boasts 20 km of perfectly prepared runs with the certainty of snow, including all grades of difficulty for novices through to the most expert and demanding skiers and snow-boarders. You can ascend to 2,200 metres using the most modern lift installations including a cable railway, a continuous gondola lift anda 7 further chair and drag lifts. From the top you can ski down the 4,800 metres downhill run, the longest in the Upper Pustertal valley. Numerous cosy Alpine log cabins and the spacious Helm restaurant with its homely wood panelled guest room provide food drink and a welcome rest. The mountain restaurant has a large sun terrace from where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Sexten Sonnenuhr peaks and finish the day’s ski fun by winding down in good company in the apres ski igloo.

Haunold/Baranci

The 8 km of downhill runs on Innichen’s home mountain are served by one chair lift and four drag lifts. The slopes are graded easy to medium and have often been the venue for world cup ski and snowboard races. With a toboggan run, a children’s play area as well as a sun terrace at the upper station restaurant, this resort offers plenty of variety and fun for the whole family. ‘Rudi’s Hütte’ is an insider’s tip for all who love original Alpine apres-ski fun and company in a cosy, intimate atmosphere.
The winter season will start with 3rd December 2005 and will continue up to the 26th March 2006.

The Rotwand/Croda Rossa in Sexten/Sesto - an insider’s tip in the Alta Pusteria valley

The Rotwand-Wiesen is the perfect resort for those who just want to get on and enjoy skiing, remote from the usual hectic crowds and packed slopes. It boasts a modern continuous gondola funicular and three ski lifts serving 6 km of perfectly prepared runs including a black run for experts. There is a children’s play ground, a toboggan run, a unique fun park for snow-boarders with a time keeping apparatus as well as a rustic Alpine log cabin to rest and enjoy good company, snacks and drinks. All-in-all, plenty of fun and variety for the whole family.

The Rienz in Toblach/Dobbiaco

These 4 km of easy to medium grade runs served by one chair lift and two drag lifts are perfect for those who want to take it easy and just enjoy skiing. New ski prodigies will find perfect conditions on the new ‘Trenker’ run, though beginners and children are also in best hands here.

Waldheim in Sexten/Sesto

The first steps are always difficult..,“ though not at the two Waldheim lifts with their 1,400 metres of ski runs. The easy runs and practice slopes are ideal for children and beginners. A children’s park and a conveyor belt are at the disposal of the smallest skiers. Beginners’ courses are offered continuously and finish each week with a participants’ race.

Kreuzbergpass/Passo Mte Croce in Sexten/Sesto

The two ski lifts are already operating and the 1,400 metres of runs are prepared as by the end of September. The lifts are directly beside the gourmet hotel Kreuzberg-Pass and are often used by famous winter sportsmen for training. You can also reach this ski resort on skis from the Rotwand-Wiesen.

Prags/Braies

Two ski lifts, including the new Sonnenleiten lift serve 2 km of runs, where beginners or those who are a little out of practice can have no end of fun. This small but attractive ski resort is suitable above all for ski clubs and groups.
