The convent of the Tertiary nuns was built in 1730 after a generous resident of Kaltern made a considerable donation to the nuns.
The nuns have mainly been known for their dedication to the education of school children. The stigmatic, mystic Maria von Mörl also lived in the convent from 1841 until 1868.
The church of the Tertiary nuns is plain and unadorned and was built around 1734.
