The first documented consacration in San Vito was in 1335. Only in 1704 they had a priest and in 1891 San Vito was raisen to parish.
The church has an abundant structured vault and a neo-Gothic high altar. Outside, on the southern wall is a sundial and a marble plaque where all the deceased priests of San Vito are named.
